The “Hawk Tuah” Girl, Haliey Welch, is having an extended 15 minutes of fame following the viral video that set the internet ablaze several weeks ago.
Having entered the realm of worldwide popularity, Haliey has likely grown tired of hearing that her 15 minutes of fame will soon run out.
Well, it’s still going strong, but just in case her detractors turn out to be correct, she’s doing some good while the minutes last.
The 21-year-old has taken up a cause in recent times as she’s been promoting animal adoption, having partnered with the Mt.Juliet Animal Shelter in Tennessee.
“If I only have 15 minutes of fame then I’m going to spend every last minute of it doing the right thing,” she captioned an Instagram post over the weekend. “Let’s try and find a home for these sweet lil cats & dogs. Please head over to @mjasvolunteerorganization to get started! 🐶🐱.”

She’s since followed the video above with another clip providing interested persons with an update as she’s let them know that Blondie, one of the dogs, has found a home, though another animal, Joan, still hasn’t found one.

Haliey and her friend Chelsea Bradford were also seen filling shopping carts with food, treats, and toys at a local Pet Smart.
While she’s attracted plenty of criticism for a fellatio joke being the only reason she’s now famous, it’s great to see the “Hawk Tuah” girl putting her newfound popularity to good use.
