Dutch Queen accused of mocking Donald Trump on live TV as he was standing next to her

During Donald Trump’s recent visit to the Netherlands for the NATO summit, a brief moment with Queen Maxima went viral. While posing for photos with Trump and King Willem-Alexander at Huis ten Bosch Palace, the Queen appeared to mock Trump’s mouth after he said “thank you.” She then glanced at the camera in a moment many likened to The Office.

The clip quickly spread online. Some users found it hilarious, with comments like “She just earned a Truth Social post!” Others speculated she was “making a fool” of the former president. Memes and reactions flooded X and TikTok, highlighting the Queen’s facial expression.

Not everyone found it funny. Critics slammed the Queen’s behavior as “disrespectful” and “unprofessional,” especially for someone in a royal position. One commenter fumed, “What an a**hole of a thing to do in front of the whole world.”

A body language expert suggested Queen Maxima was asserting dominance, noting she mirrored Trump’s gestures while King Willem stood back. The Dutch Royal Office has yet to respond to the controversy.
