Angel Reese has admitted having learned her lesson after getting caught up in the Jaylen Brown/Bronny James controversy – well, somewhat – earlier this week.
Reese was a third wheel when she joined Brown and former Chicago Sky teammate Kysre Gondrezick for an outing at a Summer League game between the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers.
Lip readers caught the NBA Finals MVP criticizing Bronny, saying he doesn’t think the youngster “is a pro.” Gondrezick replied, saying he’s bound for the G League, but Brown suggested he would be on the Lakers roster because of his father, LeBron James.
Reese was at another Summer League affair on Thursday night. At one point, she was shown on camera speaking to a friend, Nyla Jackson, who covered her mouth during their conversation.
Angel Reese Wasn’t About To Get Caught Up Again
The effort to keep the convo private wasn’t lost on social media, with a clip surfacing online and pointing it out. “We done learned our lesson lmaooooo,” Reese responded.

Meanwhile, Brown has attempted to smooth things over, taking to social media the following morning to show support for Bronny.
“It’s a flex to have your son alongside you in the NBA,” he tweeted. “It reflects greatness and longevity! Bronny has all the tools around him to be successful. I look forward to watching his growth.”
While Reese wasn’t involved in the conversation, she’s learned a valuable lesson.
The rookie is set to play in her first WNBA All-Star Game this Saturday on the back of a great start to her career in the pros. We’re probably not going to catch her slipping.
