Trinity University said on Friday that 8-year-old Kellyanne Lytal, the daughter of Tigers offensive coordinator Wade Lytal, has tragically passed away.
Trinity University announced that she died “following the catastrophic flooding along the Guadalupe River last week.”
“Our entire community grieves with the Lytal family, to whom we extend our deepest sympathies and unwavering support. We know this loss will be felt across our campus and beyond,” Trinity University President Vanessa B. Beasley said in a statement.
Kellyanne Lytal attended Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp along the river in Kerr County, Texas.
Wade Lytal posted a heartbreaking plea on Twitter after the flooding that he was “asking for all prayers for a miracle for my baby girl, Kellyanne. She is still one of the Mystic Campers who is unaccounted for.”

According to the Associated Press, at least 27 campers and counselors from Camp Mystic died due to the tragedy.
Wade, who played college football at Trinity University, is the program’s offensive coordinator, offensive line coach, and academic success coordinator. He and his wife, Malorie, have another young daughter, Emmalynn.
Trinity University announced in its statement that, “The Lytal family has established the Kellyanne Elizabeth Lytal Memorial Foundation to give back to the community and charitable causes that were dear to her.”

“RIP kiddo 🙏 much love too you and your family God Bless ❤️,” a fourth person added of Kellyanne and Wade Lytal’s family.
