Tom Jones cancelled a concert just hours before he was due on stage, after the star issued a health update.
The 85-year-old sensation apologised to fans after acknowledging that they would be ‘very disappointed.’
The show was part of Sir Tom’s Defy Explanation tour, which began in June, and is set to run until the end of August with dates all across the U.K. and Europe.
But despite the initial disappointment, fans were more concerned about the wellbeing of the star.
One wrote: “Take care, stay safe, and rest up – your health comes first!”
Another said: “Get well soon Sir Tom. I’m praying you make a speedy recovery.
“Take care of yourself, get plenty of rest. God bless you xx”
As a third noted: “Take care of that voice and get well soon.”

He’s known to the younger generation as a coach on TV show The Voice, but having rose to fame in the 1960s, he shows no sign of slowing down.
Speaking with Yours magazine just last year, the legend said: “I can still sing. All you have got to do is push it harder…and I can still do that.
“As we get older, our voices drop, and we get more character in them. The older you get, the less control you have over your vocal cords.
“Being older, I feel I’ve got a point to prove. I can still sing and I can prove it, so here it is.”
The 85-year-old has sold more than 100 million records world-wide, with his big hits including It’s Not Unusual, What’s New Pussycat?, and Delilah.
He even won a Grammy Award in 1966 for Best New Artist, and was later knighted in 2006 for his services to music.

In 2024, the star told the Metro that he would only retire if he could no longer sing.
Tom said: “I wouldn’t like to shortchange an audience
“Being old, you can’t do what you used to do.”
The star added: “I mean, I can’t walk around like I used to but I wouldn’t want to now.
“When you’re young you’re giving it plenty.
“Now I concentrate more on singing than I do anything else.”
Announcing the cancellation of the show yesterday (22 July), he posted to X saying: “Hello to all the fans in Bremen. Unfortunately, I must postpone my show this evening, as I’ve contracted an upper respiratory infection that needs treatment and rest.
“I know this is really disappointing and will cause inconvenience to you all, and I’m very sorry about that.
“But the show will now go ahead on Monday 28th July, so I look forward to seeing you then.”
One fan added: “Take care and get well soon. That’s the most important thing.”
As another said: “Tigers and legends do need plenty of rest.
“So kick back, relax and know we are all wishing you the best.”
