Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker wasted very little time sharing his take on the controversial opening ceremony for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France.
The games have officially started, marking its official launch with a massive opening ceremony, which at one point featured a parody of “The Last Supper” with drag queens.
The official Olympics X/Twitter account noted that the bit was an “interpretation of the Greek God Dionysus makes us aware of the absurdity of violence between human beings.”
Butker, an outspoken and devout Catholic, posted a screenshot of the scene on Instagram, captioning it, “This is crazy.”

Butker also got on X/Twitter and posted a clip from the event.

Butker’s tweet has been viewed nearly 4 million times and has attracted over 110K likes.
The Chiefs kicker was hardly the only one to lash out at the segment, with many viewers also expressing disgust.
Harrison Butker has been in the news frequently lately, primarily because of his commencement speech at Benedictine College. In it, he encouraged women to embrace their roles as homemakers while also trashing pride month.
