ESPN Reporter Taking Major Heat For Controversial Article On Hulk Hogan’s Death

ESPN reporter David Dennis Jr. is being criticized over an article he published after Hulk Hogan’s death this week.

Hogan passed away at his Florida home this Thursday, with reports indicating that medical personnel responded to a call claiming he had gone into cardiac arrest. The WWE icon was 71.

Hogan, a 12-time World Champion, was the most famous sports entertainer at the height of his career and remained one of the most recognizable faces in the world leading up to his death. The Hulkster was a beloved figure during his stint as a face, winning the WWF championship five times. A heel turn as the leader of the nWo hardly swung the opinion.

Still, Hulk found himself in some trouble after audio of him making racist remarks leaked several years ago, which led to his being fired by WWE.

Concerning Health Rumors About Hulk Hogan Finally Addressed

Dennis wrote an article detailing Hogan’s legacy shortly after his demise, outlining both his successes and mistakes, suggesting that the WWE Hall of Famer’s troubling behavior overshadowed the positives.

“When that is part of your legacy, it becomes singularly defining,” he wrote. “As a result, Hulk Hogan died being known a racist who also became famous as a professional wrestler. He only has himself to blame for that.”

While some lauded Dennis for the piece, many lashed out at him.

“I just came here to like all the comments calling you an idiot,” one user wrote.

“You don’t get to decide Hulk Hogan’s legacy. Go seek your victimhood somewhere else,” said a second.

“You are a MASSIVE piece of s**t…” added a third.

Social media remains divided on Hulk Hogan’s passing. Several users have shared posts celebrating his death, while others reckon he paid the consequences for his errors while he was alive.
