French cyclist Loana Lecomte had the entire world worried for her at the 2024 Paris Olympics following an awful crash during the women’s cross-country mountain bike race on Sunday.
Lecomte crashed as she descended the rock garden during the women’s cross-country mountain bike at the 2024 Paris Olympics and had to be stretchered out from the course to receive medical attention.
The 24-year-old rider fell head first and then got hit in the head by her bike and seemingly lost consciousness for several moments, according to French reporter Nicolas Georgereau.
She didn’t move after hitting the ground, although cameras quickly cut away from her. Despite concern for her well-being, no replays of the incident were shown.
