A WNBA game is going viral for all the wrong reasons.
During a game between the Golden State Valkyries and the Atlanta Dream at Gateway Center Arena, play had to be stopped and security intervened after someone threw a bright green sex toy onto the court.
The incident occurred with only 51 seconds remaining in regulation and the game tied at 75. Needless to say, the commentators were not pleased with the gesture, especially after the cameras zoomed in to identify the object.
After refusing to pick the object up for several seconds, a security guard eventually took matters into her own hands and cleared the toy off the floor.
The strange decision to throw a sex toy onto the court would eventually backfire on the home crowd, as they would watch their team fail to score another point after that, losing the game by a score of 77-75.
The loss dropped the dream to 15-11 on the season, while the Valkyries improve to 12-13.
