Hulk Hogan’s family didn’t see his time coming to an end, and neither did the WWE Universe, with his death leaving just about everyone in shock.
The WWE Hall of Famer passed away at the age of 71 last week after suffering a heart attack, leaving behind a fortune.
Hulk’s career included acting gigs, while he was involved in other business ventures, had brand deals, royalties, and various other interests. His net worth was $25 million at the time of his death.
According to OK Magazine, there could be some feuding over the manner in which his estate is distributed if he did not update his will after marrying his third wife, Sky Daily, in 2023.
Florida laws make it so that Sky would get 30 percent of his fortune, whether or not it was updated. But a legal battle could ensue should his family choose to contest it in court, while creditors could eat into the aforementioned sum.
A Florida estate expert, June Fredericksen, claimed that the former wrestler had a well-thought-out plan for his assets. The paralegal, attached to the Schofner Law Firm, described how things could go regarding the distribution of his assets.
“You set up a trust to protect your assets, so you run everything through the trust,” Frederiksen explained.
A trust would make Hogan’s estate less likely to end up in court or be left open to creditors.
Should a feud occur, his daughter, Brooke, would probably not be part of it as she reportedly asked to be removed from her father’s will before his death.
