Freshman running back JT Lindsey is in serious trouble with the law as he’s been accused of harboring two murder suspects in his LSU dorm room.
With the program still reeling from Kyren Lacy’s legal woes and eventual death, additional matters could need navigating, with Lindsey now being investigated for allowing two males wanted for armed robbery and second-degree murder in his room at Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The player has admitted that the two males, aged 17 and 18, were permitted to stay in his room, but he claims he was unaware that they were wanted for such serious crimes.
The teenagers were wanted in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Corey Brooks in Alexandria.
Lindsey has been arrested for being an accessory after the fact and is said to be fully cooperating with the authorities as they continue investigations.
“My client JT Lindsey has been arrested on allegations of ‘accessory after the fact’ for allowing two individuals, ages 17 and 18, who unbeknownst to him, were wanted in Alexandria, to stay at his LSU apartment for a couple of nights beginning on or around July 24th,” his attorney, Kris Perret, told WAFB-TV.
Perret added that the teens were wanted for offenses they were accused of committing back in May and that there’s nothing to suggest the running back was involved in any way.
“He was unaware that the individuals arrested had committed any crimes or that they had been accused of any crimes, or that they were wanted by the police for questioning when he allowed them to stay at his apartment,” Perret continued.

The lawyer insists that Lindsey wouldn’t have agreed to let the suspects stay in his quarters had he known that they were the subject of a manhunt.
“Had he known that the individuals were accused of any crimes or wanted by the police, he would not have allowed them into his apartment or associated with them in any manner,” he remarked.
“Furthermore, at no time did JT Lindsey do anything, nor take any actions, nor demonstrate any intent whatsoever to harbor, conceal or aid either of the accused and now arrested persons to avoid arrest, apprehension, trial, conviction or punishment for their crimes. He is glad that these individuals were taken into custody by authorities without incident.”
JT Lindsey, who turned himself in, is friends with the suspects, who are from his hometown of Alexandria. Sources claim they had been staying in his apartment at LSU for close to two weeks.
WAFB has also cited a source claiming that multiple firearms were found on the premises, including a Glock, a Draco, and a pair of AR-15 rifles.
