PHOTOS: Philadelphia Eagles Head Of Security “Big Dom” DiSandro Has A “Tricked Out Golf Cart” That He’s Showing Off At Training Camp

As the head of Philadelphia Eagles security, Dom DiSandro (also known by his nickname “Big Dom”) gets to enjoy all sorts of perks.

But none of those perks are cooler than the one Dom DiSandro showed off during the Philadelphia Eagles practice today. The longtime team employee has his own golf cart with “Big Dom” written on the seat.

Eagles reporter John McMullen of Sports Illustrated shared the images of Big Dom’s cart:

Eagles training camp began last Tuesday. On Thursday, the team will hold a public practice at Lincoln Financial Field before preparing for their first preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens on Aug. 9.

Dom DiSandro made headlines last December when he was involved in a confrontation with San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw in the Week 13 contest at Lincoln Financial Field. Both were ejected from the game, and Big Dom was subsequently handed a $100,000 fine and suspended for the rest of the regular season.

DiSandro has been with the Eagles organization since 1999, starting out as an assistant to the Chief Security Officer. Since 2011, he has been the Chief Security Officer and a senior advisor to the GM (Howie Roseman).

Last month, the Eagles announced that Big Dom was also being assigned the Director of Gameday Coaching Operations duties. The team opens their season against the Green Bay Packers on Sept. 6.

Dom DiSandro’s Suspension Cited As A Factor In Eagles’ Late-Season Collapse

The Eagles were 10-1 entering that Week 13 game against San Francisco. But the reigning NFC champions unraveled from there, losing five of their final six regular season games to finish 11-6 before getting crushed by the underdog Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wild Card Weekend.

After the season, veteran Eagles radio host Derrick Gunn reported that Big Dom’s suspension was a key factor in the team’s collapse. Dom apparently helped head coach Nick Sirianni keep his emotions in check prior to his suspension.
