Social Media Explodes Over Resurfaced Lingerie Football League Viral Video That Had Female Players Wearing Very Little

Nothing could unite this country more than seeing women in lingerie and playing football.

The Lingerie Football League, which was previously known as the Legends Football League, became the X-League, a women’s American football league that featured 7-on-7 tackle football with players wearing lingerie-style uniforms.

For years, the league faced harsh criticism of women being exploited for their looks, to the delight of men who watched them in nightwear.

One viral moment with over 30 million views involved a Seattle Mist football team star who was unaware that a camera was positioned behind her as she adjusted her wedgie.

There is an argument to be made, but at the end of the day, all of the ladies who played in the league did so knowing they would be playing in their underwear in front of hundreds of people for multiple games.

These days, the Extreme Football League, or X-League, is still around, but the days of wearing laced panties are long gone.

That doesn’t mean fans still can’t see past content that made us go wild.

One piece of footage from the Lingerie Football League is going incredibly viral this week.

The footage starts out diabolical. One young lady on defense is seen kneeling in position as a camera behind her captures the perfect shot. Unfortunately, neither her nice booty nor her defensive squad can stop the offense from scoring on them.

A running back named Stevie proceeded to steal the show. She ran from the backfield to score as she jiggled everywhere in her lingerie while carrying the football.

How social media reacted:

“The WFL is much more interesting than watching the WNBA,’ one person said.

“Women’s Football > NFL,” a second fan added.

“I would go to one of these games over a wnba game any day,” a third person wrote.

“This is girl power in the historical sense. Not saying it’s respectable, but it works in our world,” a fourth person commented.

In December 2019, the Lingerie Football League closed its doors, presumably forever.

It came during a time when the Alliance of American Football League closed its doors, and then the Arena Football League announced it was filing for bankruptcy after three decades of action.

Then came the news that the Legends Football League, formerly known as the Lingerie Football League, was shutting down after ten years of service.

Fortunately for everyone involved, it did not die.

The league did not operate during 2021, amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Lingerie Football League would rebrand again as the Extreme Football League, or X League.

The X League’s eight-team 2022 season spanned June to September and concluded with the restructured league’s inaugural championship, the X Cup.

Since 2021, the league has been owned by Chicago Bears legend Mike Ditka.

The league will return in 2026 as a hybrid tackle and flag football format. Their website shows a woman standing in a full uniform this time, and a countdown clock can be seen.
