There was one person on the minds of thousands of social media users after Jalen Carter spat on Dak Prescott.
The Philadelphia defensive tackle was ejected for spitting on Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott moments after the Eagles’ pregame Super Bowl championship celebration. He lasted just six seconds into the game as he failed to log a single defensive snap.
Carter was tossed for unsportsmanlike conduct six seconds into Philadelphia’s 24-20 victory.
As soon as footage of his disgusting behavior came out, fans online immediately brought up Haliey Welch.
Welch, better known as “Hawk Tuah Girl”, went viral last summer after using that colorful turn of phrase to describe how best to please a male lover.
Now, Welch wants a piece of the action when it comes to what Jalen Carter did.
Welch spoke to TMZ and stated she thought it was “hilarious” that she was trending when Carter spat on Dak, adding, “I guess he’s now the Hawk Tuah Man!”
Welch, who earned a highly coveted spot among TIME Magazine’s Top 100 Creators of the Year, wasn’t watching the game, but knew something had happened when her phone started to blow up.
She was even down to do a collab over the viral spitting moment, saying, “Hell yes! Eagles give me a call!”
Jalen Carter May Face Suspension
Philadelphia defensive tackle Jalen Carter apologized after he was ejected for spitting on Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott.
Prescott and Carter exchanged words after the opening kickoff, and Carter spat on Prescott’s jersey. Footage would soon show that Dak spit in the genral direction of the Eagles before Carter would answer back.
After the game, Prescott said he simply spit straight ahead, saying, Carter asked, “You trying to spit on me?”
In the meantime, Carter could be headed toward a hefty fine, if not worse, as the league has increased emphasis this season on sportsmanship.
The Eagles took Carter out of Georgia with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2023 draft.
His past behavior was the reason he dropped so far. Judging by his actions on Thursday night, teams were correct to pass on him.
