Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen called out the fans who left Highmark Stadium early and missed their improbable comeback win over Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens on “Sunday Night Football.”
The latest edition of Josh Allen vs. Lamar Jackson lived up to expectations, alright. The two MVPs combined for seven total touchdowns (Allen four, Jackson three), but it was Allen who rallied Buffalo from a 40-25 deficit, with veteran kicker Matt Prater drilling the game-winning 32-yard field goal on the final play.
As the NBC cameras showed during the broadcast, a large number of Bills fans left in the fourth quarter with the Ravens seemingly on their way to victory:
Well, Josh Allen had a polite message to the “fans” who gave up on their team before witnessing a comeback for the ages
“Our team didn’t quit,” Allen said. “I mean, I think there’s people that left the stadium, that’s ok, we’ll be fine. But, have some faith next time.”
Per ESPN, Allen completed 33 pass attempts for 394 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions to go along with 30 rushing yards and a rushing score. Somehow, the Bills overcame giving up 238 rushing yards and 40 points to a rival team many view as the club to beat in the AFC.
