An alert internet sleuth discovered something fishy about Jerry Jeudy’s reception at the end of the Cleveland Browns-Cincinnati Bengals game on Sunday afternoon.

The game ended when Joe Flacco found Jerry Jeudy for a 25-yard reception from the Browns’ four-yard line. Jeudy didn’t even bother to lateral the ball, as the Bengals made an easy tackle at the 29-yard line to seal a 17-16 victory.

As noted by the ML Football X/Twitter account, sportsbooks listed Jeudy’s over/under for the game at 65.5. With that final reception, the star wide receiver finished with exactly 66 receiving yards, per ESPN.

Thus, it’s easy for folks to make accusations that Jeudy bet on himself (literally) in the season opener. Of course, it’s outrageous for anyone to think that Jeudy a) bet on himself, b) knew exactly how many yards he needed to hit 66, and c) put gambling over the football team.

The Browns will be kicking themselves after letting a winnable game get away. Kicker Andre Szmyt missed an extra point and a late go-ahead field goal attempt in the heartbreaking one-point loss.
