Social media quite enjoyed Josh Allen’s ‘Sunday Night Football’ player intro for the Buffalo Bills’ 2025 opener against the Baltimore Ravens.
The AFC supremos have squared up for the primetime weekend matchup at Highmark Stadium, with the reigning MVP and former MVP to battle to round out an exciting NFL Sunday.
Allen, one of five players wearing a special patch on his uniform this season, was heard saying “Go Pokes” when his player intro came up before the Bills played their initial snap, and he sent folks into a frenzy.
Check him out in the video below:
“”Josh Allen…..Go Pokes” Love it!!🤠🤠,” a fan declared.
“Josh Allen, Go Pokes,” said another.
“”Josh Allen, go pokes” 🤠,” wrote a third.
“Josh Allen… GO POKES!!!! #GoBills,” a user shared.
“Josh Allen, GO POKES!,” someone else wrote.
Allen’s “Go Pokes” is a shoutout to his alma mater, the University of Wyoming.
The Bills quarterback played for the Wyoming Cowboys from 2015 to 2017, going from a JUCO transfer who wasn’t heavily recruited to a top-10 draft pick, with the Bills taking him at No. 7 overall in 2018.
The phrase is the rallying cry for Wyoming athletics, something the QB has carried into the NFL spotlight.
Of course, he will have his work cut out for him going up against the Ravens defense tonight.
