When you think of golfers interacting with animals on the course, a goose attack that leaves a player soaking wet is certainly not something that comes to mind.

But a goose attack is exactly what happened to one unfortunate golfer, and the incident was all caught on camera. While there are certainly more perilous creatures to worry about on golf courses (alligators, venomous snakes, etc), this unlucky player accidentally fell into a nearby water hazard after attempting to evade the goose.

TikTok user @tylerlynchgolf posted a video of a golfer walking along a cart path at an unspecified course. A goose sees the man and starts running up to him, only to bring out its wings without warning.

The alarmed golfer tries to back away from the goose, not knowing that a water hazard was waiting right behind him. What happened next looks like a scene you’d expect to see in a “Caddyshack” or “Happy Gilmore” film:

Hey, at least the water hazard didn’t have lurking alligators waiting to feast on him (we think).

The Goose Attack Is Just One Of Many Wild Golf Incidents We’ve Seen This Year

As noted by Eric Blum of the Daily Mail, Tyler Lynch plays on the golf team at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland. Blum noted that the victim of the goose attack was referred to as “Sam” in the original video, and the Goucher College roster lists a “Samuel Tyson.” So Mr. Tyson may or may not be the victim.

At any rate, this goose attack is just one of several wild golf moments we’ve seen so far in 2025. Back in June, former NHL tough guy Nick Tarnasky broke the internet by fighting with another player, who was thrown into the pond at the end of the scuffle.

There was also Rory McIlroy’s accidental magic trick at the British Open, when he made a hidden ball appear after hitting his shot out of the rough. And how about President Donald Trump’s caddie blatantly cheating for him during a trip to the Trump Turnberry course in Scotland?
