Puka Nacua had a stellar first season in the NFL, making 105 receptions for 1,486 receiving yards and six touchdowns after the Los Angeles Rams drafted him in the fifth round last year.
The former BYU star was an absolute revelation in 2023, and Rams fans are excited at the prospect of an improved second term.
Well, the league is set for a twofer as another Nacua has been signed by an NFL team. As it turns out, the Rams star has an older brother who was just acquired by the New Orleans Saints.
Mickey Loomis, the Saints executive vice president and general manager, revealed on Friday that the team signed Samson Nacua. He also announced the termination of quarterback Nathan Peterman.
The older Nacua went undrafted in 2022 before he was signed by the Indianapolis Colts and participated in their training camp. However, things didn’t work out with the AFC South outfit.
He ended up in the USFL, playing two games for the Pittsburgh Maulers last season and featuring for the Michigan Panthers in the UFL this year, making 11 receptions for 125 yards.
