The New York Yankees are taking significantly stronger security measures for President Donald Trump when he appears at tonight’s game, following the horrific shooting death of activist Charlie Kirk.
While speaking at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, conservative activist and Donald Trump ally Charlie Kirk was shot and killed by an unknown gunman. Authorities are still searching for the unidentified gunman, and the FBI is offering $100,000 for any information leading to the suspect’s arrest.
President Trump will attend the Yankees’ home game against the Detroit Tigers this evening to commemorate 9/11. Following the assassination of Kirk, law enforcement and Yankee Stadium officials have decided to implement much stronger security measures for the president.
According to Max Winters and Alex Raskin of the Daily Mail, officials have put up reinforced glass in the spot where Donald Trump will sit at tonight’s game. Additionally, snipers were spotted “overlooking the field” ahead of first pitch.

Charlie Kirk Was One Of Donald Trump’s Strongest & Most Influential Allies
Kirk rose to prominence at the age of 18 back in 2012, when he co-founded Turning Point USA. Kirk made it a goal to spread the importance of understanding politics for high school and post-secondary students, and he frequently hosted public events to encourage free and healthy public debates.
Charlie Kirk developed a massive social media presence to promote Donald Trump and his political ideas for the 2016, 2020, and 2024 presidential elections. Kirk had over one billion viewers on his YouTube channel and over 5.7 million followers on X/Twitter.
Kirk’s tragic death occurred 14 months after President Trump was shot in the ear in a failed assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania. The perpetrator, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, was killed by a Secret Service sniper.
