Joe Burrow left Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a foot injury, and the slo-mo video will cause even more concern among Cincinnati Bengals fans.

Burrow suffered a foot injury after getting sacked in the second quarter of the Bengals’ home opener. Burrow was down for several minutes and eventually made his way to the locker room with a visible limp:

The new slo-mo camera angles are even more cringeworthy to watch. Unfortunately, it sure looks like a long-term injury, with some medical experts suggesting it could be a high-ankle sprain:

Before the injury, Burrow had completed seven of 13 pass attempts for 76 yards, a touchdown and one interception. The 2020 first-overall pick suffered season-ending injuries in 2020 (MCL, ACL and PCL tears) and 2023 (a wrist injury).

We’ll have more details on Joe Burrow’s injury status when they become available. For now, Bengals fans can only cross their fingers and hope Jake Browning can lead the team to an improbable victory.
