Football fans are in stitches after the Pittsburgh Steelers’ gave up a “one-in-a-million” touchdown to the Seattle Seahawks in Sunday’s Week 2 clash.
The Steelers were in control at halftime with a 14-7 lead against Sam Darnold and the visiting Seattle Seahawks. But an AJ Barner third-quarter touchdown and a Jason Myers 54-yard field goal in the fourth quarter gave the visitors a 17-14 lead in the final frame.
The momentum didn’t end there for Seattle. Myers kicked the ball off to Steelers rookie Kaleb Johnson, who had one of the most cringeworthy brain farts you’ll ever see, leading to a score for George Holani of Seattle:
NFL fans had plenty of hilarious reactions to the Seattle Seahawks’ whacky touchdown:
“Kaleb Johnson doesn’t even know the rules man,” a fan wrote.
“Surprising lack of discipline from a Mike Tomlin coached team,” said a user.
“George Holani is the best Boise State running back in the NFL,” a fan wrote.
“Poor steelers fans man lmao,” another said.
“This is why you don’t change the kickoff rules every year 🤦♀️,” said a fan.
“I’ve seen this in a college game but cannot ever remember seeing this in an NFL game 😭,” a user added.
That awful brain cramp proved, because the Seattle Seahawks maintained control for the rest of the game to avoid an 0-2 start. For Mike Tomlin and the Steelers, well, having to practice standard kick returns and remind themselves of the kick return rules may be a top priority this week.
