Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce won the internet on Thursday with his slick choice to outfit for his ESPN debut on Thursday night.

After retiring from football, Jason Kelce signed a deal with the Worldwide Leader in Sports to work on their “Monday Night Countdown” show. Kelce debuted last night, with ESPN airing the Houston Texans-Chicago Bears Hall of Fame game

Kelce was in Paris for the first few days of the 2024 Summer Olympics before returning to the United States for his first ESPN show. The Super Bowl 52-winning champion showed up to the desk with a beret, a nod to the Paris Olympics

In April, Steve Brenner of the Sun reported that Kelce’s deal with ESPN is a three-year pact worth $1.8 million annually. Jason will continue to co-host the beloved “New Heights” podcast with younger brother and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Kelce replaced former Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III on the “Monday Night Countdown” program. The first Monday night game of the 2024 regular season will take place on Sept. 9, with Aaron Rodgers’ New York Jets visiting the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium.

In Week 2, Kelce will return to Philadelphia when the Eagles host Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons at Lincoln Financial Field on “Monday Night Football.”

Kelce Retires As The Greatest Center Of His Era

The 36-year-old Kelce spent his entire 13-year career with the Eagles which spanned from 2011 to 2023. He led the franchise to two NFC championship banners and a Super Bowl 52 title, the first in franchise history.

Kelce was named to seven Pro Bowls and earned six First-team All-Pro nods during his career. The Eagles legend will undoubtedly be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.
