A new slo-mo video has emerged of Khalil Mack’s gruesome-looking arm injury in Monday night’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders, and we warn you that the footage may be disturbing for some viewers.
Khalil Mack was injured late in the first quarter while trying to tackle Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker. Mack accidentally collided with Los Angeles Chargers teammate Troy Dye, causing his arm to bend awkwardly in a horrific-looking scene:
It looks even worse in the close-up image:
If Khalil Mack is out long-term, it’ll be a tough blow to a Chargers team with Super Bowl aspirations. They already lost All-Pro offensive tackle Rashawn Slater for the season, as he suffered a torn patellar tendon during a practice in August.
The nine-time Pro Bowler and 2016 Defensive Player of the Year is in his fourth season with the Chargers. Mack has helped the Raiders to two postseason appearances (2022 and 2024) and has 107.5 career sacks.
Khalil Mack has a compelling Hall of Fame case, with only a Super Bowl ring missing on his impressive resume. Mack considered retirement in the offseason, but here’s hoping that brutal-looking arm injury doesn’t mark the end of his career.
