Aaron Glenn thought he had his first career win right in the palm of his hands.
The New York Jets and the Tampa Bay Bucs played a thriller on Sunday.
The New York Jets and head coach Aaron Glenn were one defensive stop away from securing their first win of the season.
Glenn broke character for a few seconds as he went into a dance celebration after Will McDonald blocked a 43-yard field goal attempt by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and returned it 50 yards for a touchdown with 1:49 left in the game.
The play would erase a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter.
Despite the thrilling comeback, the Jets fell short in the final moments, losing the game 29-27.
Social media had a lot to say about the head coach, who was called out by Aaron Rodgers, dancing on the sidelines, only to lose the contest.
“0-3. Then he’s clapping at the end of the game like they won it. Total joke,” one fan said.
“Dancing to ANOTHER LOSS,” a second fan wrote.
“Just for that to lose…,” a final fan pointed out.
