The New York Giants have already received the worst-case injury update on superstar wide receiver Malik Nabers, who was carted off with a knee injury in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

In the second quarter of Jaxson Dart’s NFL debut, Malik Nabers suffered a horrific-looking knee injury on a deep pass that fell incomplete. A visibly devastated Nabers was carted off the field and did not return.

Soon after he was carted off, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported that the Giants already believe Nabers suffered a torn ACL. If that’s the case, his 2025 season is over.

Before the injury, Nabers had two catches for 20 yards in Dart’s first NFL start. In the Giants’ first three games, the LSU product and 2024 first-round pick had 16 receptions for 251 yards and two touchdowns.

Malik Nabers emerged as a superstar for the Giants in his rookie season, racking up 109 receptions for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns. With Nabers presumably done for the season, the Giants’ odds of getting the first overall pick in 2025 just escalated.
