Bad Bunny recently went viral for refusing to stand during ‘God Bless America’ while at a recent Yankees game.

The Puerto Rican rapper has been the subject of controversy since he was selected as the Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show performer last month. The choice has been met with major pushback from conservatives and the Trump Administration, with the artist now accused of hating America.

Bad Bunny has also been very critical of Trump in the past.

“I will never forget what Donald Trump did and what he did not do when Puerto Rico needed a caring and competent leader,” he was quoted as saying.

He also revealed he was staying away from the U.S. while on tour for fear that ICE would be using his shows as a means of rounding up immigrants.

Trump, meanwhile, claimed he had no idea the Puerto Rican was during a recent interview with NewsMax.

“I’ve never heard of him, I don’t know who he is,” the President said.

“I don’t know why they’re doing it. It’s crazy, and then they blame it on some promoter they hired to pick up entertainment— I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.”

Bad Bunny Mad At Donald Trump?

The 31-year-old has since gone viral for remaining seated during the aforementioned song. Popular Florida-based attorney “Marlins Man” was seated next to him and tried to get him to stand up; however, Bunny’s manager told him “no.”

Apparently, the performer didn’t get up as a form of protest against Trump ignoring or possibly not even knowing he is American.

“So i wanted to add that i asked his manager yo get him up and he said no,” he wrote. “Mad at Trump for saying he’s is Latin and not an American. He thinks Trump doesn’t know Puerto Rico is in USA.”

It appears things could get even more contentious before the Super Bowl.
