A new video has surfaced online showing JuJu Smith-Schuster’s dirty blindside hit on Brian Branch following their fight on Sunday night.
Branch sparked quite the brawl after the Chiefs beat the Lions 30-17 on ‘Sunday Night Football’, hitting Smith-Schuster in the face after refusing a handshake from Patrick Mahomes.
The Chiefs quarterback had extended his hand and had it curtly refused, so he patted Branch on the shoulder instead.
JuJu appeared to say something to Branch right after, then extended his own hand. The Lions safety wasn’t having it and shoved the wideout in the face, prompting retaliation and a melee that resulted in Mahomes getting stuck at the bottom of a pile.

Branch later explained to reporters that he was upset about Smith-Schuster making a late hit from the back and then stepping over him. Video footage showed that he was indeed the victim of a nasty hit, though it might not help his case with the NFL, which is expected to levy a fine.
It certainly did not help his case with his head coach, Dan Campbell, who tore into him during his postgame interview.
Even so, Campbell may have second thoughts on the matter after he sees the view from the end zone, which is shown in the video below:
“Perfectly legal if your team has a player dating Taylor Swift,” someone joked in the comments.
Of course, the above hardly justifies Branch’s actions, but one can certainly understand why he was angry.
“I’m tired of people doing stuff in between plays, and refs don’t catch it. They be trying to bully me out there. I shouldn’t have did it, it was childish,” Branch said in the locker room.
As for Swift, she was spotted in a suite with Travis Kelce’s dad and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark during the Chiefs’ win.
