NASCAR’s Kenny Wallace Offers Interesting Theory on Greg Biffle’s Final Moments Before Fatal Plane Crash

NASCAR’s Kenny Wallace gave a heartbreaking theory on Greg Biffle’s final moments.

Several people, including former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, were killed when a plane crashed at the Statesville Regional Airport.

It was back on December 18 when the country was left in shock over the tragic news. According to flight tracking data, the plane took off at approximately 10:06 a.m. Eastern Time. Minutes later, it turned back towards the airport to attempt an emergency landing.

As to who was flying the plane, that is unclear. Three passengers on board were licensed pilots. That included Greg Biffle.

Another retired NASCAR driver has talked to enough people to make an educated guess about what went wrong.

Kenny Wallace Breaks His Silence on Greg Biffle’s Tragic Plane Crash

NASCAR legend Kenny Wallace has shared a chilling theory about what may have gone wrong. Wallace said he believes the Cessna Citation lost a motor in the crash. It left the crew fighting drag and a lack of power as they tried to return to the runway.

Released footage showed the plane completely engulfed in flames as it slid down the tarmac. Biffle was killed along with his wife, Cristina, and their two children, Emma and Ryder. Craig Wadsworth, Dennis Dutton, and Dutton’s son, Jack, were also killed.

Wallace laid out his thinking on his YouTube channel as he tried to make sense of the final minutes.

“Here’s what I think,” he said.

“I think the plane took off, I think they lost a motor, and then, I guess it started having a lot of drag on it. In other words… yes, we know it should fly just perfectly with one motor. I think we lost a motor. That’s where all the up and down was taking place. They decide to come back. The flaps are down, and they don’t have any horsepower.”

“There was so much drag and they had the throttle wide open, they just didn’t make it. I think that’s what happened. They just didn’t make it to the runway.”

“May the Lord be with everybody, this is a very heartfelt discussion. It was a very tragic loss. Everybody wants to know what happened. I think it was a tragic loss of life, and that’s what I respectfully think is what happened.”

“It has been a sad, sad couple of weeks here with the Greg Biffle tragedy,” he finished.

The flight’s final moments have also been haunted by a desperate message sent from on board. Biffle’s mother-in-law, Cathy Grossu, told People she received a text. It came from her daughter moments before the crash, saying, “We’re in trouble.”

That message will haunt her for the rest of her life.
