Tatiana Schlossberg, the daughter of Caroline Kennedy and granddaughter of John F. Kennedy, has passed away at the age of 35. Her death follows a courageous struggle with acute myeloid leukemia, a diagnosis she received during what should have been one of the happiest moments of her life.

A Shocking Diagnosis
In May 2024, just hours after giving birth to her second child, doctors discovered an alarming spike in Tatiana’s white blood cell count. Despite living a healthy, active lifestyle as an environmental journalist, she was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer usually seen in much older patients.

A Difficult Fight
Tatiana underwent a grueling treatment regimen that included chemotherapy and two bone marrow transplants—one from her sister and another from an anonymous donor. Although she fought hard and participated in clinical trials, the cancer eventually returned. Throughout the ordeal, her husband, George Moran, remained a steadfast source of support, managing her care while looking after their newborn daughter and young son.

Legacy of Love
In her final months, Tatiana spoke openly about the heartbreaking fear that her young children might not remember her. However, she chose to focus on the present, cherishing every small moment with her family. An accomplished author and reporter, she leaves behind a legacy of environmental advocacy and deep devotion to her loved ones.
