BREAKING: NBA Game Officially Postponed After Federal Agent Shooting Death Rocks America

A shooting involving a federal agent has caused the NBA to push one of its games back.

The NBA postponed a game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors on Saturday. The league made the decision following a fatal shooting in Minneapolis.

A confrontation involving federal agents in the city left one man dead, marking the second shooting there in a week. It’s also the third shooting in which a federal officer was involved.

It comes just over two weeks after an ICE agent shot 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good in the head

The killing has led to widespread unrest. Things are expected to get a lot worse after Saturday’s incident.

The visiting Warriors were supposed to play the Timberwolves at the Target Center this Saturday. However, the league has pushed the game back due to safety concerns.

“The Timberwolves-Warriors game in Minneapolis has been postponed by the NBA, sources tell ESPN, in wake of a man shot and killed Saturday in a confrontation with federal agents in the city. It’s the second shooting there in a week, third this month, involving a federal officer,” ESPN insider Shams Charania posted to X.

Minnesota Timberwolves Share New Date

The NBA also released a statement disclosing a new date.

“The National Basketball Association game scheduled for today between the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center has been postponed. The decision was made to prioritize the safety and security of the Minneapolis community,” the team said in a statement. “The game has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. CT at Target Center.”

Pushing the game back by a single day might not make a difference. Things are pretty bad between citizens and federal agents right now.

Hopefully, things don’t get any worse.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are 27-18 this season; the Warriors are 25-21.
