The photo has gone viral.
Steve Young and plenty more former Super Bowl MVPs reunited at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday.
Ahead of the Seattle Seahawks’ 29-13 win over the New England Patriots, the league invited multiple Super Bowl MVPs to join Green Day in their pre-game show. Legends such as Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Emmitt Smith, and Eli Manning attended the event. A picture of the group made the rounds on social media later on, and it wasn’t for the best reasons.
Young shared a picture surrounded by other stars. Curiously, the Super Bowl XXIX MVP cropped out Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts. He captioned the picture “Too many GOATs in one photo.”
NFL Fans Lost It After Steve Young Cropped Out Jalen Hurts
Many fans reacted to Young’s picture, which was initially credited to Jerry Rice. Some laughed at the decision, while others didn’t appreciate it.
“Someone did Jalen Hurts dirty here,” one fan said.
“Trying to cut Jalen out gonna cause a issue w you Steve and love you,” another fan said.
“Omfg no this is funnny even as a eagles fan…. He tried to crop Jalen,” a third fan said.
“Cropping my boy j hurts is wild,” a fourth fan said.
“LMAO HE CUT OUT HURTS,” a fifth fan said.
“He cropped out Jalen Hurts,” Polymarket Football tweeted.
It seemed that the one who cropped Hurts out originally was Rice, but Young couldn’t do much after that.
Hurts won the Super Bowl LIX MVP award in controversial fashion. Many thought somebody in the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense should have gotten the award before voters went with the quarterback.
