Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito has taken his celebrity status from the 2023 season to the 2024 preseason.
Unfortunately for Drew Lock, his celebrity status came at a bad time.
Giants backup quarterback Drew Lock got hurt and left Thursday night’s preseason opener against the Lions with 2:03 left in the first quarter.
Before he was able to leave the field, Lock was on the ground being tended to, and Giants fans could care less as they chanted for Tommy DeVito to come into the game without caring about Lock’s injury status.

This why the giants suck… their fans are horrendous

Third-stringer Tommy DeVito, the team’s only other quarterback available tonight, replaced Lock.
DeVito’s improbable first NFL season saw him go from unheralded third-string New York Giants quarterback to a fan favorite.
Despite what the fan base feels about him, DeVito is a lock to be the third-stringer once again in 2024. Unless injuries occur or just terrible play by Daniel Jones and Drew Lock, he might not see the field in 2024.
Tommy DeVito Became A Legend In 2023
Not many players could say they had a shot to fame much faster than quarterback Tommy DeVito.
DeVito, the walk-on quarterback from Cedar Grove, NJ, became a fan favorite last year due to three straight victories, including a thrilling last-second 24-22 victory over the Green Bay Packers in December on Monday Night Football, per Google.
His legend will only grow if he gets to play in 2024.
