We have finally reached that time of the year where Colin Kaepernick is ready to put his name out there to possibly get his second chance in the NFL.
Will Colin Kaepernick play football again? Possibly not, but the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback is still eyeing an NFL return in 2024.
Kaepernick says he is still aiming to return to the NFL and just needs a team owner to open the door for him.
In a recent interview with Sky Sports, the blackballed quarterback stated he truly believes he can help a team to a Super Bowl despite not having played a single down since the end of the 2016 season.
“We’re still training and still pushing, hopefully we just got to get one of these team owners to open up.”
“It’s something I’ve trained my whole life for, so to be able to step back on the field, I think that would be a major moment, a major accomplishment for me. I think I could bring a lot to a team and help them win a championship.”
Kaepernick spent six years with the San Francisco 49ers, helping them to their first Super Bowl since 1994 during the 2012 season, but has not competed in the NFL since 2016.
It’s Time For Colin Kaepernick To Let His NFL Dreams Die
Colin Kaepernick is 36-years-old and his best years are well behind him. NFL training camp is well underway with teams with multiple quarterbacks on the roster that will fill positions.
Even if multiple injuries were to happen, there is zero chance that anybody would call an inactive quarterback to save them.
Tom Brady is more than 10 years older than Kaepernick and he would get a call right now befre any team thinks about Colin Kaepernick.
