Suffering injuries in the offseason before the season starts can be devastating, and Chris Evans is going through it now.
Cincinnati Bengals running back Chris Evans and offensive tackle D’Ante Smith were both injured during Thursday’s joint practice with the Bears.
Evans reportedly suffered the injury while covering a kickoff early in practice.
It was so bad that he had to be carted off the field, and trainers put him in an air cast before he left the field.
Unfortunately, further tests showed just how severe his injury was, and now he will be down for the year.
Running back Chris Evans reportedly suffered a torn patellar tendon during practice and will now miss the entire 2024 regular season. Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz reported the news.

Chris Evans may not have shown his true importance to the team due to not getting work in the running game, but injuries can happen to a team and his number very well could’ve been called this year to possibly do big things.
Unfortunately for Evans, he, along with D’Ante Smith, was fighting to make the Bengals’ 53-man roster.
