Hailey Welch AKA The Hawk Tuah Girl has hinted at weirdos in her DMs a few times since going viral, and has now completely baited up Minnesota rapper Yung Gravy by claiming he asked her out on a date and she turned him down.
Asked by TMZ which celebrities had slid into her DMs, Hawk Tuah told the publication: “Yung Gravy. He asked me on a date. I was like, nahhhh, I don’t know about that…”
Well, according to Yung Gravy, that’s not quite how it went down, and he’s got the screenshots to prove it, which he shared on Twitter under the caption ‘can’t be nice anymore lol’:
Oh dear. So it looks like Hawk Tuah was the one who initiated contact with a ‘Hello sir’ (at 1:44AM no less!), and the famously nice Yung Gravy responded by congratulating her on her success and inviting her to a show. Which is just as well, because being an already-established celebrity and getting curbed by the Hawk Tuah girl is a pretty embarrassing thing to have on your internet CV.
Then again, the “idk about your man situation” does suggest he was trying to slide in there, not to mention the paragraphs he’s sending while she’s responding with the briefest messages possible. I do love that he included that though just so he had plausible deniability in case Hawk Tuah ended up blabbing to TMZ, which she absolutely did.

Well, well, well. Poor form by Yung Gravy there thinking he could share their private DMs and cut off the opening message, as if she wasn’t then going to share the full thing. How did he not see this coming?
Well anyway, not sure if the offer is still good, but Hawk Tuah would probably be wise to take Yung Gravy up on it if she wants her 15 minutes of fame extended just that little bit longer. Even if it does only result in another embarrassing clip of her trying (and failing) to hype up the crowd on stage.
