A US Open fan suffered a severe burn on live television this Wednesday, getting friend-zoned at the worst moment possible: when the cameras were on him.
The fan in question, a middle-aged gentleman, appeared to be on a mission as he was seen returning to his seat with a drink in each hand. One of them was for him, while the other was apparently for the female he was sitting next to, but she didn’t seem to know that as she accepted a cup from someone else right before he could hand it to her.
The look on his face was everything.

Whew! Still can’t believe this is real…
Fans couldn’t either.
“There is no way this is not a Seinfeld scene,” a user wrote.
“Bro is gonna begin his journey of self-discovery and personal growth after this one,” another said.
“costanza moment,” someone else pointed out.
“I can feel his pain,” a comment read.
“Lol feel bad for this guy, everybody’s doing it but he’s gonna become the meme,” another read.
“I don’t normally condone violence, but…” someone wrote.
“*Record scratch* – ‘You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation,” a user joked.
“I would’ve accepted both… 🤷♀️,” a female noted in a brilliant suggestion.
The US Open Just Ruined This Guy’s Life
To make matters worse, the drinks in question are Honey Deuce cocktails. They’re pretty popular at the US Open and go for $23 a glass.
Getting caught like that on TV and having such an embarrassing moment immortalized online is a young man’s game. It’s not something you want happening to you at such an age – bro probably has grown kids who are going to see this.
Add that to getting stuck with such a pricey tab; it makes for an incredibly bad outing.
