On Wednesday, it was revealed that there are three rules Tom Brady must follow at his new job at Fox as an analyst if he becomes a partial owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
“NFL says restrictions on Tom Brady start immediately because his potential transaction to purchase part of the [Raiders] is pending,” reported Rob Maaddi of the Associated Press. “He’s not permitted to attend broadcast production meetings (in-person or virtually) and may not have access to team facilities or players and coaching personnel. Fox staff is not subject to these limitations. He may broadcast Raiders games. He also has to abide by the league constitution and bylaws that prohibit public criticism of officials and other clubs.”

Of course, these major restrictions could seriously damage Brady’s ability to be a good NFL analyst. When preparing to be an announcer of any major sports game, preparation is a huge part of the job. Not having access to production meetings and not access to facilities, players, or coaching personnel makes that very hard.
If it does affect his performance too much, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see Brady have a very short and quick career as an analyst. However, remember that these restrictions are only in place if he is approved to become a partial Raiders owner.
Tom Brady Set To Start Year One Of 10-Year Fox Deal
Despite originally signing his 10-year $375 million contract with FOX in 2022, he will just now be starting his position as an analyst for the network. The Hall-of-Fame quarterback should be able to give very good insight and extend his knowledge of the game to many fans watching.
His first game as an announcer will be the Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys regular-season opener. If all goes well in his first year, Brady could become a staple in the announcing world for years to come.
