Joe Rogan was just like everybody else when he found out that Charlie Kirk had been shot and killed. The only difference is that his reaction was caught for all to see.
Rogan was captured, completely stunned with silence, when he learned that the conservative influencer had been assassinated during a live taping of his latest podcast episode with actor Charlie Sheen.
Kirk was in the middle of answering questions about transgender people and mass shootings when a single gunshot came in and struck him in the neck. That moment was caught from many different angles as blood poured from his neck.
The podcaster clutched his head in disbelief right after his producer told him that the Turning Point USA founder had been shot dead.
“So this just happened, we just found out that Charlie Kirk got shot,” Rogan said before asking if he had died.
The podcast host exhaled sharply as he was left in stunned silence when it was revealed that Charlie Kirk had indeed passed away, which was first reported by President Donald Trump.
“It’s a f–ked up time. People are so divided in this country,” Rogan said.
“There’s going to be a lot of people celebrating this,” Rogan told guest Charlie Sheen.
“It’s so scary. It’s so dangerous, too, to celebrate or to in any way encourage this kind of behavior from human beings. … He’s not a violent guy. He was talking to people on college campuses.”
Many People Have Been fired From Jobs Over Their Reaction to Charlie Kirk
Watch what you say about people online, because you could end up losing your job.
Middle Tennessee State University President Sidney McPhee made that clear when he said that an employee at the school “offered inappropriate and callous comments on social media concerning the horrific and tragic murder of Charlie Kirk.”
“This employee has been fired effective immediately. We extend our deepest sympathies to the Kirk family,” the school president continued.
Kirk was fatally shot on Wednesday while he was talking during an event at Utah Valley University. Millions of people had a lot of things to get off their chests.
Even MSNBC had to fire someone after apologizing for what analyst Matthew Dowd stated in the wake of the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
MSNBC said Dowd is no longer with the network after his comments, shortly after the shooting, about “hateful words” leading to “hateful actions.”
Those are just two of many folks who have found themselves unemployed this week.
