Every once in a while, you might find yourself wondering what became of the icons from your childhood.
It’s always interesting to play a little game of “where are they now?” as it can reveal some fascinating details. Sometimes, those once-famous faces from your youth have transitioned from being on everyone’s screens to leading relatively normal lives.
Of course, not all of these outcomes are uplifting. I remember being particularly disheartened when I discovered that my childhood hero, Postman Pat, seemed to have abandoned his modest Greendale roots for a flashy job that included a motorbike and a helicopter.
Ideally, you’d hope these icons are living fulfilling lives, able to look back fondly on the moments that brought you the most joy.
One of the most prominent stars from many people’s childhoods was likely Home Alone lead Macaulay Culkin, who just last year was honored with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Since gaining fame at a young age, Culkin has appeared in various films and TV shows, served as the lead singer of a comedy rock band, and even launched his own podcast.
Just a few years ago, he took on a significant role in season 10 of American Horror Story, and earlier this year, he lent his voice to the animated series The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy alongside his brothers Kieran, Christian, Rory, and Shane.

On the personal front, fans who grew up during a certain era have been delighted to see Culkin in a relationship with Brenda Song.
Many will remember her as London Tipton from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and a couple of years ago, the couple confirmed their engagement.
Together, they have two sons, one born in April 2021 and another who joined the family in December 2022. People seem to love how happy they are together, calling them “such a great pair up” and cheering “YAY THEM.”
Culkin turns 44 tomorrow (August 26), and just to take a look back to 2020 when he turned 40, Song penned a heartfelt tribute to him.
She wrote: “I could sit here and write endlessly about how wonderful, kind, loving, genuine, loyal, honest, brilliant, and hilarious you are, and how grateful I am that I get to share and do this life thing with you. But firstly, that would take me an eternity, and secondly, you won’t even see this because you don’t ever use Instagram. Hahaha.

When Culkin received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, he expressed his deep appreciation for her, saying she was “the best person I’ve ever known” and that she has “given me all my purpose.”
