Travis Hunter had himself a game in Colorado’s opener on Thursday night.
The Buffaloes star helped the program to another opening-day win, playing on both sides of the ball. While he played over 40 snaps on defense and only sat out on two plays all game, he was most effective on offense as he registered 132 yards and three touchdowns.
One of those touchdowns resulted from one of the best catches you’ll ever see.
Hunter also snatched a 13-yard pass for a touchdown in the third quarter and landed right in front of a camera in the end zone.
The man behind it, 9News Denver’s Jeff Dressel, was quite fortunate in that he was able to get a great soundbite from the CU wideout.
Hunter got up close and personal with the camera yelling, “I’m the f***ing man!”

“The body control and the ball skills 😮💨 different breed!” one declared.
“Def the man,” another added.
“The Ball. The Shot by the Camera Man. Man,” a comment read.
“Finally, an accurate news story from 9News!” someone joked.
Travis Hunter is projected to have a Heisman-winning season. But he will do well to remain on the field this term, as a scary injury tanked his chances while leaving Colorado in a pretty bad spot in 2023.
Should he remain healthy all term, we could be about to witness one of the most remarkable campaigns in recent memory.
