New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers appeared to ignore Donald Trump during their appearance at UFC 302 on Saturday night.
The 45th President of the United States was in attendance on the back of his recent conviction, with Rodgers also taking in the action at the event in Newark, New Jersey. Rodgers, previously on the shortlist of possible vice presidents for candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., didn’t pay any attention to Trump when he walked past him.
A video shows Trump walking around at ringside shaking hands as several people stood up to greet him. A-Rod, though, stayed seated and kept his eyes on the ring.
Trump didn’t seem to notice Rodgers either, but the internet still got to talking.
“Aaron Rodgers remains in his seat and ignores Convicted Felon Trump as he walks by tonight at the UFC fight,” the caption to the video below reads.

“He an RFK Jr man,” a user wrote.
“Doesn’t want to come anywhere near the vaccine,” another joked.
“Lol. I wonder what changed his mind on trump,” a comment reads.
“His Jets contract probably has a clause prohibiting fraternizing with convicted felons,” another user quipped.
Aaron Rodgers Turned Down An Opportunity To Become VP
Aaron Rodgers emerged as a surprise running mate for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. earlier this offseason. While he supports RFK Jr., Rodgers didn’t want to retire from football to pursue a political career.
Kennedy ended up selecting Nicole Shanahan as his running mate.
“I love Bobby,” Rodgers told reporters at a Jets presser in May. “We had a couple of really nice conversations. But there were really two options — retire and be his VP or keep playing. And I wanna keep playing.”
