Football fans are praying for Colorado Buffaloes safety Shilo Sanders following the latest injury update on the 24-year-old.
Shilo Sanders left in the first quarter of the Buffaloes’ Week 2 game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers with an arm injury. He was seen leaving the field with his right arm in a sling, and head coach Deion Sanders revealed on the NBC broadcast that it was believed to be a broken arm.
On Monday morning, Prime Time took to X/Twitter and posted two photos of his son in the hospital. Sanders underwent surgery to repair a broken right forearm, and there’s no immediate timeline on his recovery and return.
God is Good! Can’t wait to see u back ready to go. Love ya son! @ShiloSanders @DeionSandersJr pic.twitter.com/gm4joshAXX

After two seasons at Jackson State, Shilo Sanders came over to Colorado in 2023 with his father and younger brother Shedeur. The Buffaloes handed Sanders a lucrative multi-year deal after a successful three-year stint at Jackson State.

In his first season with the Buffaloes, Shilo had 67 combined tackles, three pass breakups, four forced fumbles and one interception. In the limited action he’s seen this year, Shilo has 11 tackles.
Nothing went right for the Buffaloes in their 28-10 loss to Nebraska. Losing Shilo Sanders to injury early on was the first of many things that went awry for a Buffaloes team that allowed Shedeur Sanders to take six sacks in the lopsided defeat.
The Buffaloes will try to rebound on Saturday when they visit the Colorado State Rams at Canvas Stadium.
Next Man Up For Colorado
Losing one of their key starters is a big-time blow for a Buffaloes team with one of the nation’s worst pass defenses. But it’s another case of “Next man up” for Prime Time’s Buffaloes, who need to shake off Saturday’s lousy effort and turn the page to Week 3 against their inner-state rivals.
