PITTSBURGH — The Steelers emerged victorious against the Chargers on Sunday, but their win came at a cost, as several key players left the game due to injuries.
Cornerback Cory Trice Jr. exited the game early with a hamstring injury and did not return. Trice Jr.’s status for upcoming games is unclear.
Edge rusher Alex Highsmith left the game in the first half with a groin injury and was replaced by Nick Herbig, who recorded two sacks.
Running back Jaylen Warren left the game in the second half for an undisclosed injury. His status is unknown.
Wide receiver Van Jefferson left the game in the second quarter with an eye injury but was able to return to the game later.
The full extent of these injuries, and how they will impact player availability for Week 4, is expected to become clearer later in the week.
