Jason Kelce looks a happy man in retirement, having settled into his new gig as an analyst for ESPN, but some fans are wondering whether he’s set for an NFL comeback based on some recent social media activity.

Kelce called curtains on his career earlier this year after playing all his 13 years for the Philadelphia Eagles. He’s thought to be a shoo-in for the Hall of Fame, given his seven Pro Bowl nods and two Super Bowl appearances, one of which resulted in a championship win.

Kelce, also a six-time First-Team All-Pro, cited the toll injuries took on his body as the reason for his retirement decision when he spoke to the Associated Press last month.

“My days of playing are just done, and I do not foresee any scenario taking place other than maybe medicine inventing a way to get rid of arthritis that I would ever entertain coming back at all anymore,” he said.

Still, a cryptic post from the former offensive lineman has fans wondering whether he’s reconsidered. You could see said post below.

“You’re back?” a fan asked.

“Ohhhh yeeeaaahhh,” someone else wrote.

“About to return from the retirement afterlife?” asked a third.

“Come to Chicago please,” someone else begged.

Jason Kelce Probably Isn’t Heading Back To The NFL This Season

While most fans would love to see Jason Kelce back playing football, especially as his effectiveness on the field hadn’t waned in his last campaign with Philly, prospects remain unlikely.

He’s only a few appearances in for The Worldwide Leader in Sports, and it seems like he’s really enjoying his new job. As for the tweet, it could have been a reaction to the Eagles’ coming to life in the second half against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

Of course, the possibility of an NFL comeback will continue to loom, but it’s probably not going to be this season.
