Many streamers have crazy influence and can do some pretty crazy things; however, risking their lives isn’t always on the list of things that they’re willing to do. However, Lieutenant Dan is no regular streamer.
Lieutenant Dan, whose real name is Joseph Malinowski, decided that he was going to ride out one of the worst hurricanes Florida has ever seen, Hurrican Milton, on a tiny little sailboat due to a challenge from popular kick streamer Adin Ross.
Ross’ support of Lieutenant Dan didn’t go without any controversy, as after he went viral for riding out the crazy storm, it was revealed that he had a very large criminal history, which included the likes of armed robbery, drug possession, and even assault.
According to TMZ, the streamer has reportedly just added to that criminal record as he was just taken into custody in Tampa, Florida. His arrest allegedly was due to a failure to appear in court and trespassing.
Lieutenant Dan Has Been Taken To Jail After Going Viral
Tampa Police say they met with Dan on Thursday morning at Bayshore Linear Park and Dock. After he was asked, he revealed that he did not have a marine sanitation device or a proper waste disposal record.
Cops claimed they had warned Lieutenant Dan to move the boat out of the area because he was considered a “public health hazard.” However, after refusing, he was eventually taken into custody.
Fans shouldn’t be too worried about the streamer, as his rep, Brandon Gilchrist, claimed that his team is trying to bail him out. As his occupation claimed he was in his booking information, the TikTok star could be out very soon.
