The Michigan Wolverines secured their fourth straight win against the Ohio State Buckeyes in “The Game.” It was a thriller that ended in Michigan’s favor with a score of 13-10.

After the game, as the Wolverines tried to plant their flag at the 50-yard line, multiple Ohio State players took offense and started a huge brawl between them.

The fight became so bad that the Ohio State Police were seen spraying a substance at players in an attempt to regain control of the situation.

After an official statement from the police department, it was confirmed that pepper spray was 100% used.

“Following the game, officers from multiple law enforcement agencies assisted in breaking up an on-field altercation. During the scuffle, multiple officers representing Ohio and Michigan deployed pepper spray. OSUPD is the lead agency for games & will continue to investigate,” they said in a tweet,

Of course, the teams have a big rivalry, but it’s a shame that things became so violent and escalated the way they did.

There’s certainly a lot of hatred in the rivalry between the teams, but it’s never gotten this disrespectful.

Given the rivalry’s recent outcomes, you’d have to imagine that anger was at an all-time high for every Buckeye, but that still doesn’t excuse what happened.

This Was The 120th meeting Between Michigan and Ohio State

The first meeting between the teams came back in 1897 when the Wolverines destroyed Ohio State 34-0.

Since then, the Wolverines have won more often than not. They currently have the all-time lead at 62-51-6. They also have the longest win streak, at nine games from 901 to 1909.
