REPORT: Jacksonville Jaguars Announce Devastating Injury Update On QB Trevor Lawrence

It appears that the Jacksonville Jaguars will be without star quarterback Trevor Lawrence for the rest of the 2024 season.

Three days after he suffered a concussion on a dirty hit from Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al Shaair, the Jaguars announced that Trevor Lawrence has been placed on the injured reserve.

This means that Lawrence will miss a minimum of four games, so he wouldn’t be eligible to return until Week 18 against the Indianapolis Colts. But with the Jags (2-10) out of the playoff race, and with Lawrence also nursing a shoulder injury, it’s unlikely that he’ll return to the field for the season finale.

With Trevor Lawrence likely done for the season, backup Mac Jones takes over as the starting quarterback in Duval County. With Jones in a contract year, the 2021 first-round pick has the chance to increase his free agent stock.
