‘The Lord put me on Earth for a reason’
A woman who makes $43 million a year on OnlyFans says she isn’t ashamed of her work and doesn’t think it conflicts with her Christian values.
Last month, Sophie Rain took to social media to share the amount she made from OnlyFans over the last year.
A screenshot of her account showed she had made $43,477,695 from November 28, 2023 to November 28, 2024.
The 20-year-old captioned the post: “Thankful for one year on here.”
When she received some criticism for her work – with some labelling her a “prostitute” – Rain hit back: “You can call me whatever you want… I will be laughing my way to the bank.”
And it seems like she is still happy to take on any critics, saying the online hate “motivates me to just keep growing.”
Speaking to PEOPLE, Rain said: “Honestly, all the people online that hate me — and they post the mean comments and everything — that’s what motivates me to just keep growing and to keep booming and keep doing my own thing.
“It just makes them mad for no reason. They don’t know me.”
Coming from a devout Christian family, her parents initially weren’t supportive of her career move into adult content. But once she was made it clear what she does, and that she wasn’t going to stop, they started to come round to the concept.
“I just told them straight up that, ‘I post content online, this is what I do. If you can support me or you don’t support me, and I’m sorry, but I can’t help you guys,’” she told PEOPLE. “But regardless of the situation, they didn’t care. I’m their child and they love me.”
Rain attended church with her parents every Sunday when she was younger, and her religion remains an important part of her identity and life.
She sees no conflict between her risqué day-to-day work and her religion though.
“The Lord’s very forgiving, and he put me on here. He put me on earth for a reason and I’m just living every day,” she argues. “If this wasn’t meant for me, I wouldn’t be here right now.”
