Officials working the Rose Bowl on Wednesday inexplicably refused to let Will Howard join his teammates on stage after the Ohio State Buckeyes’ blowout victory over the Oregon Ducks.
Will Howard and the Buckeyes crushed the No. 1- ranked Ducks 41-21 in the Rose Bowl, punching their ticket to the College Football Playoff semifinals. Ohio State will meet the Texas Longhorns, who defeated Arizona State 39-31 in overtime earlier in the day.
Ohio State players were already on the Rose Bowl stage to celebrate when Howard made his way over to join his teammates. But for some peculiar reason, officials wouldn’t let Howard come on stage:
The good news is that the matter was finally resolved, as Howard was allowed to finally celebrate with his teammates on the stage:
Howard had a near perfect day against Oregon, completing 17 of 26 pass attempts for 319 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. Running back TreVeyon Henderson added 94 rushing yards on just eight carries and two total touchdowns.
Will Howard Is Two Wins Away From Completing Dream Season
Howard spent four seasons at Kansas State before transferring to Ryan Day’s program, and it’s been everything both sides could have wanted. Now, Howard is just two victories away from completing the dream season and leading Ohio State to its first national championship since 2014.
